First Day Raw

Well, I made it through my first day 100% raw!

I ate far too much fat, and definitely had some crazy food combinations, but who cares? I stayed raw all day, and that is a triumph in and of itself, regardless of shitty food combinations.

I started the day with a blender full of Green Smoothie made of cantaloupe, pears and romaine lettuce.

For lunch I had a HUGE avocado stuffed with a mixture of red/yellow/orange bell peppers, leeks, red onion, serrano chili pepper, olive oil, lemon grass, celtic sea salt and black pepper.

Dinner was red pepper and carrot soup made with almond butter and tahini, garnished with cilantro and a touch of soaked aquatic grass seeds, and served with pineapple flax crackers.

I am excited about using the dehydrator to try out some of the recipes from all of my raw books. I think I will start with tortillas from Alyssa Cohen's raw foods cook book.

As for by beginning stats: I weigh 245 lbs. and I am only 5'3" tall. Not good. In addtion to that,  I have terrible digestion problems that manifests itself as wicked heartburn and burping constantly after meals. And I have awful rashy patches of excema on my hands, forearms, elbows, back of my knees and the top of my feet. 

It's SO itchy and annoying!! (I will post pics later, if I can see the rash with my cell phone camera.)

Other than that, I basically just feel like shit all the time when I am following the SAD diet.  Plus I'm showing typical signs of aging like grey hair, wrinkles, and sagging.

Which is why I am excited about being one hundred percent raw. 

I'm not ready to get old yet!!!

(Plus...raw foods is SEXY! )
